Biography
Nuttawat Pipithsuksunt is a dedicated pianist whose aspire to be a musician at the age of 15 years old under the mentorship of Dr. Nopanand Chanorathaikul. His dedication for the piano led him to Mahidol University's College of Music in 2022, where he studied with Dr. Duangruthai Pokaratsiri. Seeking to broaden his horizons, Nuttawat moved to Singapore to further his studies at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, where he is currently under the tutelage of Dr. Nicholas Ong.
In 2025, Nuttawat won 1st Prize at the 5th Rising Stars International Arts Festival & Competition 2025, performing Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 (1st movement) with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dr. Chaipruck Mekara. That same year, he was also awarded 1st Prize at the NAFA 16th Lucien Wang Piano Competition 2025.
Moreover, Nuttawat has earned recognition in a number of international competitions. He earned the 3rd Prize at the 4th Rising Stars International Arts Festival & Competition 2023 for his performance of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23, K. 488 (1st movement) with the Hanoi Chamber Orchestra conducted by Dong Quang Vinh, the 5th Singapore International Classical Piano Competition and the 11th Hong Kong International Youth Performing Arts Festival. He has also been awarded with gold medals at the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Bangkok International Performing Arts Competitions in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
In addition to these awards, Nuttawat has been a finalist in several local competitions, including the Kasetsart International Piano Competition 2023, the 10th Thailand Mozart International Piano Competition 2022, and the 7th Thailand Chopin International Piano Competition 2023.
Beyond competitions, Nuttawat has enriched his skills through masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Vanessa Latarche, Paul Lewis, Ning An, Iswargia Sudarno, Sara Davis Buechner, Tony Yike Yang, Aaron Shorr, Laurens Patzlaff, San Jittakarn, Tarin Supprakorn. These experiences have further honed his artistry and performance abilities, underscoring his commitment to becoming a distinguished pianist. Nuttawat continues to develop his musical talents and aims to make a significant impact in the world of classical piano performance.
